I was originally unable to get into Disk Utilities, unable to boot from USB or HD, constant Video issues, horizontal lines on the screen, pink / Blue screen etc. These steps helped me fix my Macbook issue and I have successfully rebooted three times now and so far so good. If you don't receive any errors then close Terminal restart your machine and see if you can now boot up properly. If it finds errors then run this command.
Select your startup disk and press and hold the Shift key and click Continue in Safe Mode. Press and hold the power button until the startup options window appears which is a black screen that shows an icon for your startup disk and an Options icon. It will also ensure that there are no corrupt files. If it is an Apple silicon Mac: Turn off your Mac. This will ensure your drive volume is functioning properly and the system files are in the correct locations. Step #2: Open up Terminal located in LaunchPad's (Other) section. Once you log in to your computer in safe mode - then go to step 2. Step #1: Hold down "SHIFT" - Press the power button and keep holding the shift key down.

I also wanted to add this step for anyone having trouble booting their Macbook Pro, once they can boot successfully into Safe Mode.
